Vuzix, our partner and supplier of smart glasses, unveiled the Vuzix LX1 yesterday (August 13, 2025), a rugged, hands-free pair of glasses designed specifically for warehouse and logistics applications that sets new standards with its intelligent features.
They are designed to make processes such as picking more effective, safer, and more intuitive—a real upgrade for modern supply chain operations.
What really stands out about the glasses, in contrast to the M400 and M4000, is their very robust design. This is a major difference from the other two models.

Scanner meets voice: Intelligent picking technology
Ergonomic working is complemented by hybrid “voice & vision picking”: Employees are able to access picking lists by voice, while visual confirmations appear directly in their visual field. The glasses support visual workflows with mapping, palletization diagrams, and multilingual text—ideal for complex tasks or noisy environments. Unlike the M400, Vuzix has improved the integrated speakers by just 3 dB to 100 dB.

Right at the heart of shift work: 10-hour battery & freezer-proof
Instead of the 4800 mAh battery found in the M400 and M4000, the LX1 boasts a 7000 mAh battery that allows it to complete an entire work shift (approx. 10 hours) – even under extreme conditions. The glasses are also freezer-rated, making them ideal for cold warehouse environments – a decisive advantage over conventional displays or voice-only devices.

Display & Ergonomics: Visual Efficiency
With a Sony OLED Color HD Heads-Up Display, the LX1 projects important information directly into the visual field without taking your eyes off the job. Modular mounting (e.g., cap or headband mounting) ensures easy adjustment and high wearing comfort, suitable for continuous use in the warehouse.

As with the M400 and M4000, the LX1 has a powerful Qualcomm processor. The LX1 runs on Android 15, with guaranteed annual updates and SoC availability until 2030 – a clear statement for long-term investment security. Wi-Fi 6E, NFC tap-to-pair, and a bone conduction microphone plus microphone array for clear voice control complete the package.
